SC/ST Development

1.NCVT Affiliations to the courses conducted by the ITCS of Scheduled Castes Development Dept.

Out of a total of 41 ITCs affiliation has been granted to 35 already.  For the remaining 6 Standing Committee inspection to see whether the stipulations are satisfied is to be conducted.

 

2. Scheduled Tribes Development.

There was a meeting on 21st Sep. 2004, with Secretary Shri Romanus Horo.  The proposal is not according to the guidelines.  Secretary assured to send revised proposal.

 

3. Kerala State Dev. Corpn. For Christian Converts from SCs and recommended communities.

Proposal has not yet been received in GoI.

Revised estimate sent to Internal Finance Division in the MORTH.

3. Construction of an Interstate Link Road from the Naval Academy to Bangalore

Govt. of Karnataka has objected to this proposal GoK may take this up with Govt. of Karnataka

4. Completion of Phase II of Alappuzha bypass.

The road portion of the project is under scrutiny in the MORTH.  For the two ROB in the stretch GoK should get the estimate from the MOR and forwarded to MORTH for sanction.

5. Construction of New Terminal in Thiruvanantapuram International Airport

6. Construction of Airport at Kannur.

CMD, National Airport Autority of India has given a presentation before Chief Minister on 1st October.  Asked for more land.  However, they are going ahead with the project. 
Environment clearance for Thiruvananthapuram International Airport has been taken up by National Airport Authority of India.  We are extending  assistance to them.
